My husband and I have had to have alot of work done on our vehicles in the last few years. Luckily, thanks to me:), we gave up on our old mechanic. I found Ervine's through all the good reviews and am glad I did. This place and the people are awesome! How many mechanics keep apologizing when telling you what's wrong with your car (daryl)? How may places have 2 mechanics test drive your vehicle after repairs? How many places have free loaner cars? I have never felt so safe in my vehicle after going to Ervine's. The service at Ervine's is honest and quick. I don't care for going to dealership but I want the car I drive to last. When the engine on my car was failing they diagnosed the problem and informed me that the repair was covered under my warranty. This repair would've cost me $3k-$5k if serviced outside of a dealership. I am very thankful to Ervine's and have continued to use them and refer them to my friends.

I was serviced by Bruce and I must say that he was among the most competent servicemen that I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. I brought a used car to them for inspection and he dutifully pointed out that while the car was otherwise in great condition, there were three anomalies that when combined was a potential systematic failure that could have cost me upwards of $3,000 to $4,000 extra to repair on my own if I were to purchase this car. Staff was friendly and did not mind me calling a jillion times and we even made light of it. 🙂 I plan on using them in the future for my auto repair needs.

I have them do shocks and struts on my 2005 envoy. They also suggested other work but were understanding that I would and could do the other items myself and didn't push their repair on me. Their prices for parts and labor were fair, and the staff friendly. I would go back.

I found Ervine's to be an honest and reputable repair shop. I took my 97 Suburban in for an overhaul and everything they found that needed repair/replacement was accurate. They did a great job troubleshooting a major concern with the engine and also a problem with my a/c. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

A great family owned shop. There aren't too many places I feel comfortable sending your wife or kids to for auto service. Many times you feel shops take advantage of someone that doesn't have automotive knowledge. Not at Ervines. Many times they tell us that something will need to be replaced eventually but is still good for another 5-10 thousand miles. Honesty like that keeps me going back.

First time I've needed any work done on my car here in GR and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The office staff is super efficient and friendly. I needed a loaner both days they had my car and everything was ready as soon as I got there right at 8a so didn't really slow me down. Bruce called and emailed everything they needed to do before starting the repair and then reached out to let me know when it was completed. Even though their office closed before I left work it was just as easy to handle everything via phone or email and then pick my car up after hours. I expected to have to have to deal with a few shops before I found one I liked but based on this experience if I need any other work done I would go back and will recommend them to anyone else.

I am so happy for this gem of a find! Although I’ve lived in the Grand Rapids area for the last couple years, I’ve never needed any car repairs until recently. After reading several reviews and their offer for a free car loaner, I decided to take a chance. I was able to get in the next day after making an appointment. Within hours, Eric called to give a full report with a detailed explanation and cost estimate. He recommended immediate repairs verses repairs that could wait and best of all I was able to get my car back the same day! The free car loaner is a life saver, especially for someone like myself who does not have any family that lives nearby to use their car and hates to inconvenience friends or coworkers for rides. The staff is friendly and wonderful to work with. I’m so pleased with the work done on my car. I will continue to take my car here for service and definitely will recommend to others.
